STUDENT MATINEE
Now in its fourth decade, the Student Matinee program brings thousands of middle and high school students from across Wisconsin to a Madison Opera performance. The 2024/25 Student Matinee is The Barber of Seville on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in Overture Hall at 11 am.
The Barber of Seville lasts approx. 3 hours including one intermission. It is sung in Italian with projected English translations.
Tickets are $5 for students and chaperones. The suggested ratio is at least one chaperone for every 20 students; we will not approve ticket requests for more chaperones than students to ensure that we prioritize seating for students. Limited subsidies are available upon request and are calculated based on the school’s Free & Reduced Lunch Program participation. Tickets are non-refundable.
This production is appropriate for high school and middle school students. Children under the age of 9 will not be admitted.
Register by filling out the form below, or by downloading and mailing in a completed form [PDF].
