Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed 22 operas, starting at age 11 and culminating in the last year of his life with The Magic Flute and La Clemenza di Tito.  His plots roamed from Naples to Seville, Rome, Crete, and beyond, while his music is and remains some of the most glorious ever written.

Chef Giovanni Novella has created a five-course menu inspired by this brilliant composer.  Each course will be paired with arias and duets from Mozart operas, sung by Madison Opera’s Studio Artists, Anna Polum, Anna Parks, and James Held.

The Menu:

First Course: Crostini, house-made ricotta, pea, duck confit, pine nut
Second Course: Grilled octopus, rainbow potato, fava bean, celery, citrus
Third Course: Goat cheese ricotta ravioli, pea parmesan
Fourth Course:
Beef wellington, prosciutto di parma, aged gouda bechamel, parsnip purée
Fifth Course: Apple strudel, grappa custard, vanilla gelato, granola
